Machine Operator

Description

Operating CNC Form Grinding Machines, grinding high grade precision tooling to tight tolerances. Some manual grinding machines. Openings for entry level and experienced candidates available.

Four, 10-hour days with available shifts:

  • 1st, Sunday – Wednesday (6:00am-4:30pm)
  • 2nd, Sunday – Wednesday (4:30pm-3:00am)
  • 3rd, Wednesday – Saturday (6:00am-4:30pm)

Earn $18.00 – $24.00 /hr starting, depending on experience. Plus $2.00 Shift Differential for 2nd and 4th shifts.

 

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC Grinding Machines.
  • Hold very precise tolerances.
  • Use critical thinking and problem solving skills to improve quality and reduce scrap.
  • Inspect inserts for both dimensional and visual defects.
  • Set up machines for production runs.
  • Learn and Use conversational CNC programing.

Qualifications

  • Good analytical ability.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Great team working skills.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred

  • 2 Years of Experience in CNC Machining or Completed/pursuing a degree or certificate course in related field is a plus.
  • Experience with precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience with reading and following instructions from CADD drawings and/or Job Travelers.

CNC Machine Operator (Skilled)

Description

Four, 10-hour days or 8hr M-Fri shifts available:

  • 1st, Sunday – Wednesday (6:00am-4:30pm)
  • 2nd, Sunday – Wednesday (4:30pm-3:00am)
  • 3rd, Wednesday – Saturday (6:00am-4:30pm)
  • M-F, Monday – Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)

Earn $21.00 – $24.00 /hr starting, Depending on experience.

Precision Braze Operator

Description

Brazing is a metal-joining process where two metals are joined together by melting and flowing a filler metal into the joint. At North American Carbide we use two different methods of brazing; Induction and Vacuum Furnace Brazing.

Operators will be trained on how to operate Induction Braze Units and Vacuum Braze Furnaces to adhere diamond cutting tips (PCD-PCBN) to precision cutting tools.

Four, 10-hour days with availability on the following shifts:

  • 1st, Sunday – Wednesday (6:00am-4:30pm)
  • 2nd, Sunday – Wednesday (4:30pm-3:00am)
  • 3rd, Wednesday – Saturday (6:00am-4:30pm)

Training Provided!

Earn $18.00-$20.00/hr starting based on experience.

Shift Differential for 2nd Shift ($2.00/hr)

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Operate Induction Units to Braze Diamond tips to Carbide cutting tools.
  • Prep Inserts to be brazed in a Vacuum Furnaces.
  • Use critical thinking and problem solving skills to improve quality and reduce scrap.
  • Inspect inserts for both dimensional and visual defects.
  • Clean inserts after brazing including the removal of excess braze.

Qualifications

  • Problem solving skills
  • Team working skills
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred

  • Experience with precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience with reading and following instructions from CADD drawings and/or Job Travelers.
  • Welding, brazing or soldering experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skilled Maintenance Technician

Description

Performing routine maintenance and repair of CNC & support equipment.

Four 10 hour days, Wednesday-Saturday 6:00am-4:30pm

Earn $28.00-$35.00/hr starting based on experience.

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Perform routine repairs of CNC and Support equipment.
  • Hydraulic, Electrical, and Mechanical repairs.
  • Using critical thinking and problem solving skills.

Qualifications

  • High level of analytical ability.
  • High level of problem solving skills.
  • General maintenance experience.
  • Experience with hydraulics and electrical.
  • Experience with mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with PLC’s
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a CNC Machine Shop setting is a plus.
